With the Rhombo-Care\u00ae evacuation cover, existing mattresses can be easily retrofitted into rescue mattresses. In the event of an evacuation, the cover enables the fastest possible rescue of immobile people from the danger zone with only one helper. This eliminates the laborious repositioning onto stretchers or carrying sheets. <\/p>\n

The blue upper side of the cover is made from PU-coated, breathable material. The black underside consists of durable, slide-friendly polyester fabric. On the long sides, the cover is fitted with straps which, in an emergency, serve to secure the patient\/resident using hook-and-loop fasteners. At the head and foot ends there are grips or carrying loops. All straps and loops are secured tightly against the cover with hook-and-loop fasteners when not in use. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Place the arms of the resident\/patient under the blanket. Then secure the resident\/patient to the mattress using the side straps with hook-and-loop fasteners. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

2.<\/h3>\n

Pull the mattress out of the bed using the pull loop at the foot end. To avoid panic, always maintain eye contact with the resident\/patient and clearly explain the procedure. Alternatively, the pull loop at the head end can also be used. This is particularly recommended for residents\/patients with head or neck problems. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
